About Elsie J. Oxenham

Elsie Jeanette Dunkerley (1880–1960) wrote children's literature, adopting the name Oxenham as her pseudonym. She is best-remembered for her Abbey Series of 38 titles, but she published 87 titles in her lifetime. Another two have since been published by her niece, who discovered the manuscripts in the early 1990s.

What I've said about it on Shedunnit
The Abbey Girls series is mentioned in the fourteenth episode of my ongoing Green Penguin Book Club series: The Sanfield Scandal.
